Instinctual Intelligence

Ted Usatynski

Ted Usatynski

Theodore Usatynski, founder and director of Instinctual Intelligence and author of Instinctual Intelligence: the Primal Wisdom of the Nervous System and the Evolution of Human Nature, joins ZOOM’D to explore how instincts function, develop, and may become distorted, and modern approaches to aligning the passion and power of our instinctual heritage with the more enlightened possibilities of human life. Since the dawn of civilization, humans have been fascinated with the mysteries of our primal nature. Amazingly, no one until Ted has presented a systematic account of how our instincts work, much less how they can be harnessed and developed to enhance our everyday lives. Ted contextualizes the conversation within the ongoing ZOOM’D dialogue about big change and addresses a range of practical perspectives: fear and survival responses, rational thinking and reality testing, confidence in gut intuitions, and applying instinctual intelligence to the many facets of daily life.
