Hatred and the Power to Be

ZOOM’D host John Schmidt explores a large yet relatively undiagnosed pandemic at play across the world today—hatred—on display daily in both large-scale global events and local, up-close-and-personal incidents. While this pandemic can be examined from many viewpoints, John devotes this show to exploring the inner dimension of hatred and its sources and roots that one discovers on the inner journey of leadership. John points to what hatred really is, suggests how it evolves and develops, and describes how it might be extinguished through rather unconventional means. While leadership naturally attends to visible expressions and overt forms of hatred and violence, John highlights the importance of recognizing one’s own inner world and the subconscious nature of self-hatred that influences awareness and the capacity to see “what is really going on.” Join John as he continues to focus on the highest ambitions of leadership and the evolution of potential accessed through “the power to be.”
