Allegory of the Cave

ZOOM’D host John Schmidt draws upon Plato’s analogy of the cave as an apt reference point for recognizing reality—and specifically as a backdrop to exploration of three future scenarios we may all be living into. John presents three distinct yet quite varied anticipations on coming world events and asks the question: how do we really know what to expect and believe—and how do we really know what actions to take amidst this dynamic VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world? While serving as a stand-alone episode, this show also serves as a bridge between the earlier introduction to Instinctual Intelligence and Part 2 which will come next week. Join John as he continues to blend conventional, leading-edge, and alternative/unconventional views on the future with reflections on the interior influences that shape our viewpoints—here with Plato pointing to the nature of reality, shadow perspectives, and the ground of illuminated intelligence.
